General description

Ronseal Shed and Fence Preserver is specially formulated to provide color and protection to sheds and fences. Its deep penetrating 2-in-1 formula eradicates woodworm while preserving the wood to prevent rot and decay. The unique formula includes added water repellents, ensuring the timber is waterproofed against damage caused by water ingress.

Installation

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from coatings such as paint, varnish, or stain.

For timbers suffering from decay, remove all decayed wood and replace it with sound, treated timber.

Cut out and burn all decayed wood at least 45cm beyond the area of damage.

Usage

Shake well before use to ensure uniform color.

Can be applied by brush or dipping; treat end grains by dipping for complete penetration.

Apply a minimum of 2 even coats, covering all faces, sides, and joints, with particular attention to the end grain.

The second coat should be applied after the first coat is fully dry.

Avoid contact with bitumen, bitumen felt, mastics, and plastics.

Unfortunately, although it was labelled light brown, it wasn’t. It was quite a dark brown. The colour on the tin was quite different from the colour showing online.

It arrived very quickly. we have used it inside a shed for the grandchildren to play in .it went on very easily we had a few drips but not too many. We have used it all up now , Thank you

Easy to apply, keeps its colour and does not wash off due to the weather over time like the water based protectors. Last used it to preserve new fence panels 5 years ago. Only now do they need a bit of a face lift.
