Pruning saws: make the right choice
A versatile tool, the saw knife is useful in gardening for cutting small branches that are hard to reach with larger tools. These products come in several configurations. Then, there is the tooth pattern of the blade that can vary. You can find double or triple beveled tooth patterns, as well as American style teeth. The blades with double tooth pattern actually have a blade on each side, to offer different cuts depending on the material. The triple beveled blades are a sequence of two teeth with different shapes. The purpose of this blade is to reduce heat generation to extend the blade's life. It also provides better results on materials sensitive to heat. Finally, the blade with an American tooth pattern is designed to evacuate cut debris and is ideal for green wood.
Then, other minor criteria will come into play: you can start by paying attention to the coating of the blade. A Teflon coating is ideal to increase the product's lifespan. You can also see if the blade is foldable or not. A foldable blade makes storage easy and ensures good protection.
