The booster pump optimizes the quality of pool water by ensuring good filtration; it draws water before discharging it under pressure into the pool. It is useful for the optimal operation of the pool cleaning devices.
As its name suggests, the pool booster pump allows to increase the water pressure. This water is then sent back to the filter. The thus disinfected water passes through the discharge nozzles. Its pressure, twice as high, creates a current in the pool, capable of activating an automatic cleaner or a cleaning robot. This cycle allows cleaning the bottom of the pool while purifying and stirring the water.
Here are the elements composing a booster pump:
- the pump;
- the expansion tank;
- the check valve;
- the cartridge filter;
- the pressure switch.
It is possible to choose between three models, namely:
- the pool booster pump, the simplest;
- the multipool pool booster pump, a discreet and silent hydraulic pump;
- the programmable pool booster pump, allowing to schedule the cleaning robot's working time.
Note that the multipool pool booster pump is also programmable, it is particularly powerful and has features that facilitate the use of the hydraulic robot.
To choose the right pool booster pump, it is necessary to consider different criteria. The easiest is to carefully read the label on the pump. This indeed indicates the maximum flow rate (in m3/h), corresponding to the amount of water delivered by the device for a certain unit of time. This equipment is also chosen according to the size of the pool and its water volume.
The pressure, measured in bars, provides force to the hydraulic robot. The higher its level, the more the pool cleaning device removes impurities. It is also necessary to check whether the booster pump is compatible with a salt treatment.
Finally, for ease of use, the noise level of the booster pump should be carefully chosen to avoid any noise nuisance.
