Exotic and soothing, a pond is an ornamental element of the garden. However, its maintenance requires specific accessories so that aquatic plants and fish can thrive peacefully. To achieve this, checking the pond's filtration system is one of the various tasks to be performed alongside the daily cleaning of the water feature.
More and more individuals are opting for a preformed pond to recreate a zen and eco-friendly ambiance in the garden. However, some essential information should be remembered about this type of installation, such as:
- having all the necessary accessories for cleaning and maintenance;
- performing a daily check of the filtration system's operation to maintain the pond's cleanliness;
- replacing defective elements to avoid damaging the pond, which could harm the aquatic plants and fish.
Depending on the pond's filtration system, some elements might indeed be replaced if they no longer function correctly. This is the case with brush-shaped pond filters. The brush helps maintain the water's cleanliness by retaining particles and other debris in suspension. This element helps preserve the water's purity so that aquatic life can develop healthily.
Moreover, the type of filtration should be defined according to the pump's motorization. If the pond is equipped with mechanical or organic filtration, or even both, replacement cartridges are available in case of wear and tear.
