Product information

Description

Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue is the first one-part, water cleanup wood glue ever offered that is proven waterproof. The waterproof formula passes the ANSI/HPVA Type I water-resistance specification and offers superior bond strength, longer open assembly time and lower application temperature.
Titebond III is non-toxic, solvent free and cleans up with water - safer to use than traditional waterproof wood glues. It provides strong initial tack, sands easily without softening and is FDA approved for indirect food contact (cutting boards). The ultimate in wood glues - ideal for both interior and exterior applications.

The Titebond III is generally a good adhesive with good bond strength and gives a reasonable amount of time to position material and clamp, in my case vacuum forming laminations ... BUT, for my particular application it has a quirky problem ... I am laminating two layers of 1.5mm birch plywood with a white maple veneer on the surface. The bond between my laminations is fine, but by the time my vacuum forming is complete, the Titebond III glue has apparently reacted with the white maple veneer to produce black stained spots coming all the way through the maple veneer surface!! No problem with laminating a dark timber like walnut, but I have had to throw away some of my maple veneered laminations ... and I've now completed these using epoxy resin instead of the Titebond III.
