The cross line laser comes in a sturdy carrying case that also holds the accessories. These include a stand, a magnetic mount, and a laser target card. The magnetic mount securely holds the laser in place on ceiling supports and other magnetic surfaces. The device can also be mounted on a tripod. The green laser lines are clearly visible even in bright light. The device has two switches: one for locking the pendulum and an on/off switch. Operating the switches takes a little getting used to. To turn the device on, simply disengage the pendulum lock; to turn it off, you first have to engage the lock, and only then can you use the second switch. The battery life seems very long. I've used the device continuously for two workdays on a construction site, and the batteries are still going strong. Since I don't use the device very often, I specifically looked for one with batteries, and I'm very happy with the Huepar. I would buy it again.
